Although incidents of faith healing, American Indian herbal cures, preachers, holy rollers and people speaking in tongues are scattered through the history of her family, she was, more than anything, raised to be "normal" and to "fit in". As her connection with Spirit grew, she struggled to keep it hidden. In the halls of Corporate America she would speak of her intuition or "Bullshit Barometer", but never spoke of Jehorvah.
Periodically throughout the years she had periods in which Spirit would guide her into situations, (often requiring healing), that required that she use her gifts. During these times she would contribute as guided by Spirit and then return to her "normal" life. She did not do professional readings but was often the person people came to when they were confused or troubled. Somehow, they noticed, she always knew the right thing to say to help them deal with their situation. Still, she clung to "normal" and steered clear of "Sadie the Psychic" labels; remaining stuck and suffocating in Corporate America.
Her father's death and his mortality forced her to look at the quality of her own life, and within a year of his death she had left Corporate America. Now she was earnestly listening to her Spirit - like a one nearly dead from thirst discovering an oasis. Spirit guided her to seminars where she saw others channeling. Finally, they did not look so weird.
Sonia Choquette's "Psychic University", was a ten week opportunity to luxuriate in Spirit. Watching Sonia is a delight! She is a woman who claims her gifts and shares them generously with others. And just that quickly, it became possible for Jacque to be fully herself without having to fuss with the "Sadie the Psychic" label. Spirit had found a way, and from that point there was no turning back!
Now each day Jacque stands in her truth and asks Spirit to use her. A prayer that began as a child "Help me to help others, then as an adult became, "Help me to understand." is now simply, "Use me."
"I feel blessed to be able to pass on what I know to others. For I believe to my toes that as each of us steps up to take our place, we make room for more to follow - so that soon we will have cities of light."
