STORY BOARD WORKSHOP
We began using story boards at our first retreat. A story board, a visualization map or a vision board - whatever you call it, it is a tool to help us more clearly see the life we choose to create. At our first retreat we created a story board; we also created one during Masters Class. It is great fun now to review our progress against the lives we envisioned then. When we do, it becomes clear that the act of actually creating a vision of what we choose in our lives seems to be a powerful manifesting tool.
This workshop begins with a meditation to stretch our imagination and encourage us to dream a bigger dream. Before we begin the work we clear the energy in the room and set our intentions. Frequently the actual building of the boards brings up new awareness regarding the fears and assumptions that may have been preventing us from creating this life. If this occurs, the support of the others in the workshop, who are also building their dreams, assists us to move beyond our fears and to be courageous and powerful as we step into our space and begin to live our lives outside the little circle.
Once the boards are created, they are presented to the group to reaffirm and clarify our intention. A blessing of the boards completes the process, and the boards are then taken home. The very interesting truth about the story boards is that whether they are hung in the back of a closet or displayed prominently to be viewed every day, the boards still seem to have the power to attract into our lives what we choose.
